Find a ride through local teams and groups
Are you a beginner? Can’t make our weekly rides? Maybe road biking is more your speed? Or maybe TRAIL RUNNING! Find the perfect group – or multiple groups – that fit all of cycling and outdoor desires. We partner with those listed below and you can find many of their events on our calendar. Happy Valley Ride with GPS

Happy Valley Women's Cycling
Women’s mountain biking and gravel rides Mondays June – August. Beginner friendly, these rides share tips on how to handle your bike and the terrain in a fun and inviting atmosphere with lots of encouragement.
Rothrock Regulators
This is a group of mostly non-elite level riders from beginner to advanced. The Rothrock Regulators ride socially and for fun, breaking into groups split by skill level. Join their Facebook group to find out about regularly scheduled Wednesday rides beginning at 5:30 pm and pick-up rides throughout the week.
Freeze Thaw Cycles Weekly Ride
Wednesday evenings at 7pm, the weekly Rothrock Gravel ride is leaves from Galibrath Gap Lot from April – October. November through April – each Wednesday they host an In-and-around-town MTB ride. Join us at 7pm in the parking lot behind TGI Fridays on North Atherton Street. Check their facebook page for weekly notifications about the ride.
Penn State Club Cycling
The Penn State Cycling Club (for PSU students) provides both recreational and competitive opportunities for cyclists of all interests. We host group rides, socials, and weekly meetings, and our members are always looking for chances to go out and have an easy spin together.
Centre County Crows
The Centre County Crows youth mountain biking team is for riders in 6-12th grade (11-18 years old). Welcoming riders of all skill levels, their mission is to get more kids on bikes providing an inclusive community where they can learn to ride in a a safe and fun environment and increase diversity and accessibility in mountain biking.
Girls Rock Summer Sessions
Presented by Happy Valley Women’s Cycling, Girls Rock is a beginner’s developmental program designed specifically for middle school girls ages 11-13 interested in mountain biking. Sessions in June and August consisting of 4 Wednesday evening 1.5hr classes. Each week will progress with more skills and provide the opportunity to improve trail and terrain awareness. Register now!
LHORBA
The Laurel Highland Off (& On) Road Bicycling Association (LHORBA) is dedicated to promoting the sport of cycling in the Laurel Highlands region of western Pennsylvania. Regardless of riding abilities or styles, LHORBA promotes responsible and safe riding. LHORBA hosts several scheduled rides each year in the Laurel Highlands as well as facilitates many wonderful riding opportunities throughout the region. Club members will meet new friends, and possibly find some new riding buddies along the way. Got a favorite trail or route you would like to share? BEMBA
Bald Eagle Mountain Biking Association is a non-profit educational association whose mission is to create, enhance and preserve great trail experiences for mountain bikers in Bald Eagle State Forest, and to create a bicycle friendly community through cycling awareness, safety advocacy and promotion of bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation. BEMBA seeks to preserve, protect, and promote mountain bike access and diverse riding opportunities in Pennsylvania’s Bald Eagle State Forest lands through education, communication, and unified action.
PORC
PORC provides opportunities for Pittsburgh mountain bikers to discover new trails, make new friends, maintain trails, gather socially and have a great time.

State College Cycling Club
State College Cycling Club invites riders of all ages and experience levels to come out and join us. Whether it is our regular Club rides on Tuesday evenings, or our new Thursday morning rides, weekend rides hosted by Members, or special events, State College Cycling Club offers a variety of ride opportunities. Our riders cover varying distances, from less than 10 miles for the least experienced to our season culminating “century” ride, where individuals can train to push themselves to higher endurance levels.
Penns Valley Pedals and Pints
We’re a not-so-serious group of cyclers who meet up Thursday evenings @ 6pm rain or shine from May to September to bike, enjoy the beauty of Penns Valley, hang with friends (old and new), and cheers to another great ride. All the while, raising money to support our community.

CentreBike (CRBC)
CRBC is an umbrella organization for a wide variety of cycling interests in the greater State College area. These interests include bicycling advocacy, road racing, mountain and cyclocross biking, providing riding opportunities to young children, and many others. The common thread is that we love to ride, whether it be on the way to work, on singletrack through the forest, or on rolling backcountry roads

Get a Grip
Held in Spring and Fall, Happy Valley Women’s Cycling “Get a GRIP” (Grow Renew Inspire Purpose) retreats are all inclusive filled with biking, learning, and community. You’ll learn bike handling skills and goal setting for your own unique riding journey. Experts in the community are also on hand to teach and coach you throughout the weekend.
