Musser Gap Trail Grand Opening
The Rothrock Trail Alliance (RTA) invites you to attend the Musser Gap Trail Phase One Grand Opening. A ribbon-cutting event will be held at the Musser Gap trailhead with guest speakers, including Cindy Adam Dunn, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, as well as other state and local officials. RTA will announce the new trail names and provide an update on trail construction plans for Hubler Gap/Whipple Dam and Greenwood Furnace.
We wish to express our gratitude for your support in making the first phase a success, adding 7.5 miles of new trail to Musser Gap and creating additional recreational access to Huntingdon County toward Whipple Dam State Park for phase two. Appalachian Dirt began construction of phase two on June 4.
Your ongoing support of Clearwater Conservancy, RTA’s nonprofit home, helps us meet our objectives, working toward a total of 47 miles of single-track shared-use trails. This system will connect Centre and Huntingdon counties for recreational use within Rothrock State Forest.
We look forward to seeing you at the Musser Gap trailhead on July 10.
