About NMBA
About Nittany Mountain Biking Association
Established in 2001, Nittany Mountain Biking Association (NMBA) is a volunteer-based organization that is dedicated to building and maintaining sustainable mountain bike trails and promoting responsible mountain biking through club activities and community outreach.
NMBA brings together people who love mountain biking, being out in the woods, and are passionate about environmental stewardship in central Pennsylvania.
NMBA works closely with the DCNR state forester in the Rothrock State Forest district office to prioritize trail maintenance and improvement projects in the Rothrock State Forest trail system.
NMBA engages members of the mountain biking and local community through various social events and educational opportunities that include weekly group rides, monthly social gatherings, trail building and mountain bike clinics, etc. NMBA also partners with the local bike shops and organizations in the area to promote and support cycling initiatives that serve the cycling community as well as members in the local community.
In 2011, NMBA was incorporated and gained status as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
